About Jimmy

Hello

My name is Jimmy, I'm a 29 year old half Portuguese half French man born and raised in Paris.
I have a Masters degree in International Relations. Languages have always been a passion of mine, that's why tutoring was my part-time job for the most part of my studies.

I speak and can teach French, Portuguese, English, Spanish and a little bit of Japanese after spending last year in Fukuoka as a French and English teacher in a Language School.

About the lesson

I have experience ranging from children to University students.

As individual tutoring is concerned, I believe that the classes should be customized in accordance with the level of the student.

A 1st or 2nd grade 40 minutes introduction to French class for example would start with songs, then the study of a particular vocabulary field (colors, numbers, animals, ...), an activity or game to put the newly acquired knowledge in practice and finally short and easy conversations exchanges.

For GSCE or A-Level students, it would depend on the goals, strengths and weaknesses the student, but everything from grammar to oral expression can be improved with the right techniques: focusing on putting into use the vocabulary the student already knows, giving up on set sentences and over memorizing, studying about topics the student is interested in, ...
