About Jack
I started playing guitar when I was eight years old. I had been surrounded by music all of my life, finally, I decided to be a physical part of those sounds. I have taught many lessons on guitar technique, ideas, scales, building speed, playing cleanly, keeping time, improvisation, writing music and playing with others.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California: Santa Cruz. I am currently getting my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science and Master's Degree in Inspired Learning and Teaching. I have played in bands and recorded music for over ten years, as well.

My teaching philosophy is that I want my students to love playing guitar. I let you pave your path to proficiency. I have the skills and knowledge that is used to inspire and provide insight into bettering your playing, but only you can realize your true potential. I, myself, took lessons for over ten years, and it filled me with a sense of originality that stayed with me, all these years. A good teacher will inspire the student to learn on their own, hoping they outplay them.
