About Evan
I am an MS4 at Yale School of Medicine who enjoys mentoring others in their admissions journey! Prior to my time in New Haven, I studied at Columbia in NYC, graduating with a concentration in biology. While there, I cemented my science skills and teaching by TAing organic chemistry lab, both in small group and individual settings.
When I’m not helping you, in the lab, or in clinic, you can find me playing in the New Haven Chamber Orchestra, hiking 4000 footers in the White Mountains, or at home with my wife and cats!

I have been through the long road of applying to medical school and want to pass on what I have learned to future applicants!
As a 97th percentile (519 in 2019) scorer on the MCAT and taker of many 8+ hr exams as a Yale medical student, I can provide you with a personalized approach to your test prep schedule and give you confidence and tips for test day. There are many high-scorers out there, but not all of them help you plan out your whole study schedule!
My tutoring draws on my background as an organic chemistry TA at Columbia University, especially when it comes to my understanding of the sciences and my teaching style.
With respect to the medical school admissions cycle, I have mentored several post-bacc friends seeking to switch careers into medicine, and am happy to help with personal statements, interviews including MMIs, and general etiquette / application strategies.
