About Joseph
I've been a filmmaker for the past 10-years with my films featuring at festivals across Australia including the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, Capricorn Film Festival, North Bellarine Film Festival and the Screen It International Film Festival. I've also received multiple screenwriting accolades from competitions including the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition, Filmmatic Short Screenplay Awards and the Los Angeles Screenplay Awards.
In addition, I currently lecture in undergraduate short film production and screenwriting at JMC Academy.
Some of my favourite films include: Apocalypse Now, The Tree of Life, the Before Trilogy, Stand By Me
And some of my favourite TV shows: True Detective, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things, Freaks & Geeks.

These lessons are designed for those that have a short or feature length script completed but are unsure how to move the project into production and/or need guidance on the production side of the filmmaking process.
I will give you the tools needed to bring your project and script to life, guiding you through the stages of production from financing and budgeting through to crewing, logistics and overall producing.
Lessons will be tailor-made to each student based on their experience and what they hope to get out of the lessons. Whether you're a beginner producer wanting to learn more or have experience but want to hone a specific area (such as financing), I can accommodate these needs.
Together, we'll come up with a plan and a clear pathway forward for your project.

Details
Travel costs are only applicable when I travel to a location of the student's choosing. Flat rate $10, 20km from Melbourne CBD maximum. Arrangements outside of 20kms can be made. Alternatively, online lessons are available.
