I've known Mr. Werochana while studying at my University. He is my mentor for chess. He is our chess coach for the University chess team. I gained so much confidence and proficiency in chess with his guidance. My skill level in chess improved rapidly with his coaching.

I gained my international rating with his coaching and guidance in 'Dhamso International Chess Festival' which was held in 2017. Mr. Werochana and I have different mother tounges as mine is Tamil and his one is Sinhala. But language is never a barrier to our communication and coaching as he is fluent in English. He has an extraordinary skill level of explaning things to students.

He is quite an inspiration for me in chess and also in the way of living. I always inspired by the way he behaves with students. He is a highly emotionally intelligent person. He is very decent and polite in the way he behaves with people.

I have learnt from Mr. Werochana for about 8 years and he is one of the greatest teachers I have ever known. He is a well organized person and he can explain things very well. He is more like a friend to all of the students than a teacher. He doesn't waste time while teaching and covers the maximum area he can while teaching. He is one of the best teachers.
