My lessons are very structured and the student’s cooperation is vital to achieve the best results. Every student works at a different pace and I adjust the lessons accordingly. I aim to have an open and honest relationship with my students to ensure good communication and full understanding of the subject. Homework is usually given at the end of each lesson to follow up if the student understood all the concepts that were handled. I like to keep the parents in the loop to ensure they are aware of the progress the students are making. A full diagnostic assessment is made when the tutoring commences. This will determine the pace, depth of understanding etc. and includes personality testing, aptitude tests and core strengths and weaknesses. Formative testing is done during each lesson to ensure the correct progression. A benchmark assessment will be done after each section of a subject is completed, or before formal assessments in school. Lastly a Summative Assessment is done at the end of each quarter to ensure the student has all the knowledge required to move forward. Each student will have their own specific lesson structure and schedule.
