About Kerusha

My name is Kerusha and I love to teach English!
I have a BA in Psychology from Wits University as well as an Honours in Psychology from the University of KwaZulu Natal. Working with children and helping them improve has inspired me to go into the field of education. I went on to study a Post graduate Certification in Education, specializing in English and Life Orientation. I love to help children of all ages! I tutor high school students during my free hours and also work with special needs children during the day.

About the lesson

What makes me unique as a teacher?
As cliché as it sounds, I am one that is extremally passionate about teaching. Throughout academic career i have worked with children, from volunteering at children's homes to teaching formally in the classroom. I am light hearted and friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help you understand.

I am proficient in English and qualified to teach English for children all the way up to the highest standard of learning.

In a typical lesson with me, you can expect to have a light hearted rapport which is vital in a teaching environment. I will get to know you first so I know where you are at and where I can help you improve. Throughout the lesson, I will provide you with the lesson content and teach you by breaking it down step by step. We can go through what you are having difficulty with and I will always re explain how ever many times to make sure that you understand at the end of the lesson. Repetition is key! I also provide valuable notes that you can go through afterward to make sure that you understand.

I can assure you that I will try my very best to help you improve your marks!
