About Nkanyiso
I am a simple Computational and Applied Mathematics student at Wits University, and one thing I truly do not believe in is failure. I have learned that nothing in life comes easy, and no matter the odds, the only way forward is to work hard — consistently and relentlessly. That mindset shapes how I approach both life and mathematics. What keeps me going, especially in math, is a powerful belief my high school Life Orientation teacher instilled in me: there is no problem without a solution — it all depends on how hungry you are to find it. That idea transformed how I face challenges. I don't give up when a problem looks impossible. Instead, I ask myself how badly I want the answer. I want to teach because I believe every student has that hunger inside them — sometimes it just needs to be awakened. My role is not just to explain math, but to show you that with the right attitude and effort, every problem has a solution waiting for you.

My teaching philosophy is simple: no student leaves a session without understanding the core idea of the topic, no matter how challenging or confusing it seemed at the start. As a Computational and Applied Mathematics student at Wits University, I break down complex mathematical concepts into simple, logical steps using real-world examples and visual explanations. I focus on building genuine understanding, not just memorising formulas. Whether you're struggling with algebra, calculus, matrices, or functions, I adapt to your pace and learning style. We work through problems together until the “light bulb” moment happens and it always does. I also help with exam preparation, assignment reviews, and building confidence for tests. My goal is to turn math from a subject you fear into one you feel capable of mastering. With patience, clear communication, and a commitment to your success, I ensure every session leaves you one step closer to your best grade.
