About Preethi

I love Music, Neuroscience, and Pedagogical sciences. There's nothing more in this world that makes me feel alive than Music. I am a technologist who has done regional shows in India and Italy. I learned to play music during my master's program in HCI abroad, where I reconnected with instruments, including the ukulele and guitar. Now, I feel it's time to give back to my community by combining ed-tech, teaching, and music. I am passionate about education, incorporating research-based techniques, and an interactive approach to lessons.

About the lesson

My classes are built around a creative problem-solving framework. I first assess my students' levels and design coursework tailored to their learning styles, lifestyles, and musical experiences, rather than providing a general theory-based system. I employ research-backed teaching approaches instead of traditional methods.

I have experience guiding students from diverse backgrounds and closely integrating their narratives to design tailor-made courses that cater to their needs. My passion for psychology helps me translate what I have learned as an autodidact into real life.

Classes are filled with creative endeavors, fun challenges, and backed by the Neuromechanistic Framework for music therapy (This is a Pilot Study).

Perfect! A wonderful ukulele mentor! She's patient, polite, and flexible with timings. Her teaching style is clear, engaging, and easy to follow. She explains concepts well, adapts to the student's pace, and makes learning enjoyable.

Excellent! Preethi is not a boring teacher. She is fun & easy to talk to and learn from. She is very patient and does not rush her lessons in order to finish by the hour. She gives out diagrams and knows what she is talking about.

One challenge that I had difficulty with was Tuning. Initially, it took me an hour to do it. but with her guidance and patience. I am now able to do it with 2-3 min. She is patient and serious about her work, which is nice as she does not cancel at the last minute and is flexible regarding timing.

To learn anything, first of all a learner must feel at home and ease. The tutor here gives you such a space to feel that. So friendly. Even as a beginner I never felt any difficulty in understanding her lessons. Quite understandable. Her approach is also so gentle. I would strongly recommend this class to anybody who's is really interested in learning Ukulele.
