About Clementine
I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and have spent 5 years helping students excel in jazz piano. Many of my students have earned places at Berklee, Juilliard, and other top conservatories. My teaching blends technical mastery with the freedom of improvisation. I believe that advanced jazz performance requires equal parts structure and creativity. We study voicings, harmonic progressions, and rhythmic phrasing in depth. Technical foundations such as scales, finger strength, and articulation are also emphasised. I customise each lesson to challenge your abilities and grow your artistry. Students gain tools for both auditions and live performances. My lessons also address stage presence and communication through music. I enjoy guiding students to find their unique artistic voice. Progress comes with both discipline and curiosity. Together, we will refine your playing and prepare you for success in advanced jazz performance.

I teach piano with a focus on warmth, interaction, and real-world application. My lessons are designed for students who want to grow as accompanists and ensemble players. We focus on reading lead sheets, transposing quickly, and responding rhythmically in dynamic settings. Playing with singers and instrumentalists requires attentiveness and sensitivity, which we practise through collaborative exercises. I use visual aids and shared scores to bring clarity and structure to every lesson. My teaching is goal-oriented and adapted to your personal pace and needs. I help students prepare for live performance roles as well as creative studio projects. Each lesson emphasises listening, adjusting, and playing with expression. Progress is always tracked carefully so you can see growth in both technique and artistry. I believe that music is most powerful when it’s shared with others. My role is to guide you into becoming a confident, versatile, and supportive pianist. By focusing on accompaniment, you’ll gain skills that apply in every musical setting. Together, we’ll build both your confidence and your artistry.
