About Tate
With over 8 years of experience teaching guitar, I’ve developed a deep passion for helping students grow musically and creatively. I hold a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a major in Guitar, which gave me a strong foundation in both performance and composition. I love composing and arranging music for solo guitar as well as group ensembles, always exploring new textures and ideas. My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and goal-oriented. I work with school students, hobbyists, and professionals to meet their individual needs and aspirations. Whether you're looking to improve technique or preparing for the stage, I help guide the process with clarity and encouragement. I specialize in scales, modes, songwriting, rhythm training, and stage performance. My lessons are designed to build strong fundamentals while also fostering musical identity. I’ve helped Intermediate and Advanced students gain confidence, refine their skills, and take meaningful steps toward professional work.
