My guitar teaching approach focuses on building strong aural skills so you can understand and play music by ear. I believe that ear training is one of the most valuable tools a guitarist can have. That’s why I include melodic dictation, interval recognition, and transcribing songs as key parts of every lesson.
We use call-and-response games, listening drills, and simple playback exercises to sharpen your musical ear. You'll learn to identify chords, pick out melodies, and recognize patterns without needing sheet music. I help students feel more confident in jam sessions, songwriting, and solo practice.
I'm especially skilled at working with players who want to strum confidently or dive deep into blues phrasing. I provide practical, step-by-step guidance that connects your ear to your hands.
