About Olivia
I’m a piano tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology, specializing in Keyboard Production. My passion lies in composing for film, television, and video games, and I love helping others bring their musical ideas to life. Whether you’re writing a sweeping theme or scoring a dramatic moment, I guide you through the creative and technical process. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and always tailored to your unique goals. I work with school students, college learners, adults, and professionals, adjusting each lesson to suit your level and interests. I specialize in melodic writing, orchestration, and sound design using synthesizers. We also dive deep into using digital audio workstations (DAWs) to create full cinematic pieces from the ground up. My piano teaching approach blends creativity with structure to help students express themselves through original music. I guide learners through songwriting for piano, composing melodies and harmonies, and developing their own musical themes. We also work on creating intros and outros that give each piece a unique voice. Every lesson is hands-on, with time to explore ideas and shape them into full compositions.
I focus on helping students turn emotions into music that tells a story. My lessons provide clear steps for writing and arranging, while leaving space for personal expression. I’m especially skilled at working with those who use music for emotional release or seek to explore jazz-inspired creativity. Together, we build confidence through practice, feedback, and reflection.
I support each student in discovering their voice at the piano. You’ll learn how to connect theory with feeling, and structure with flow. We explore harmony, rhythm, and texture in a way that brings ideas to life. Each session is encouraging, focused, and inspiring. You'll not only improve your skills—you’ll compose your musical legacy.
