About Sandra
Hello, and welcome! My name is Sandra, and I’m excited to share my knowledge and experience with you as your physiotherapy tutor. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Pretoria and have over 6 years of hands-on experience working in the public sector. During my career, I had the privilege of heading the Physiotherapy Department as Acting Head of Department for over two years. I’ve worked extensively with a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and pulmonary issues, and have a special passion for working in ICU, NICU, and High Care units.
In addition to my clinical work, I’ve been involved in creating and managing wellness programs, such as weight loss classes, employee wellness initiatives, and a women’s forum, all of which have further fueled my passion for promoting health and well-being. After transitioning into a career in law, I found that teaching physiotherapy allows me to share my wealth of experience and knowledge with the next generation of healthcare professionals.
My goal is to provide you with a professional, supportive, and engaging learning environment, where you can build both your theoretical knowledge and practical skills. I am committed to helping you succeed and look forward to guiding you on your journey in physiotherapy.
