About Declan
With 11 years of experience as a guitar tutor, I offer tailored lessons designed to suit students of all ages and skill levels. My teaching approach focuses on developing a strong technical foundation while also exploring diverse musical styles. Whether you're interested in mastering fingerstyle techniques, delving into jazz improvisation, or perfecting your blues solos, I provide personalized instruction to help you achieve your musical goals.
In my lessons, I emphasize the importance of both technique and expression. By incorporating various genres and styles, I help students enhance their versatility and creativity on the guitar. My goal is to inspire and motivate each student to discover their unique musical voice, fostering both technical proficiency and artistic expression.
Outside of teaching, I am passionate about performing and composing music. I enjoy playing in different settings, from solo gigs to jam sessions with fellow musicians. This active engagement with music enriches my teaching and allows me to bring fresh, real-world experience to my lessons. Additionally, I find joy in exploring new musical genres and experimenting with different guitar techniques, which continually fuels my enthusiasm and informs my approach to teaching.
