About Ilisha
I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I specialise in teaching young children and early teens through creative and playful methods. My lessons include fun games, movement, and storytelling to help students learn pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics naturally. I love using folk songs, Disney tunes, and musical theatre pieces that are age-appropriate and engaging. My approach focuses on building confidence and strong listening skills while making music joyful and exciting. I believe that learning to sing should feel safe and fun for every child. Through playful activities, I encourage young voices to explore their unique sound without pressure. I carefully guide them in age-appropriate vocal techniques that protect their developing voices. Watching my students grow in confidence and enjoy singing is truly rewarding. Together, we create a warm and supportive space where creativity can flourish. For orchestra members, I focus on precise pitch control, blending with others, and strong performance skills. They learn how to manage their voice within a group while still expressing their unique sound. Both groups improve through targeted exercises using apps for ear training and vocal tracking, which help monitor progress. I encourage steady practice and listening closely to develop a strong ear. Emotional expression and vocal technique are always connected in my lessons. This approach helps every student find joy in singing while growing their skills safely and effectively.
