About Mathuri

I’m a 28-year-old computer science graduate with a deep-rooted passion for dance and yoga. My classical dance background has paved the way for my current exploration of street styles, and as a yoga instructor, I embrace a holistic approach to fitness and well-being.

I’m dedicated to teaching because I want to share the transformative power of dance with people of all ages. I believe that dance is not only a joyful and fulfilling activity but also an excellent way to maintain a fit and happy lifestyle. Dance has brought immense happiness into my life, and I’m eager to help others experience the same joy by exploring the movements of their bodies.

About the lesson

My Approach to Dance Tutoring:

With 13 years of expertise in Odissi and Bharatanatyam, my teaching methodology is centered around making dance enjoyable while focusing on meticulous technique. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, so I tailor each lesson to meet individual needs, ensuring that students both enjoy and benefit from their classes.

Teaching Techniques and Methodology:
I take pride in my precise and careful approach to teaching proper techniques, adapting my methods to suit each student's unique learning style and goals. My classes are designed to be interactive and dynamic, encouraging students to explore and express themselves through dance.

Typical Length of a Lesson:
Lessons generally last between 1 hour 15 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, but I am flexible and can extend sessions up to 3 hours if needed, depending on the student's requirements and progress.

Qualifications and Experience:
As a highly experienced dancer with over 13 years of training in classical dance forms (Odissi and Bharatanatyam) and a background in contemporary and Bollywood styles, I bring a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to my teaching. I have toured extensively and have a solid foundation in various dance genres.

Who My Lessons Are For:
I offer dance lessons for students aged 9 and above, with no upper age limit. Whether you are a child, a teenager, or an adult, my classes are designed to cater to all levels and ages, providing a personalized and enjoyable dance experience for everyone. I also provide services for wedding or sangeet choreographies or anything that you may need help with.
