About Maria
Hi! My name is Maria and I am a multi-disciplinary artist and songwriting specialist.
I received my undergraduate degree in English Literature from Edinburgh University. During this time, I regularly tutored students in both creative and academic writing.
Having played classical piano since a young age, I went forward to pursue an MMus in Popular Music from renowned Goldsmiths University. Here I refined and grew my music practice, and have now amassed millions of listens across various digital platforms while becoming an internationally acclaimed songwriter. You can find my work online under the pseudonym "Monelise".
My English and music skills have always existed in a complementary manner. I am passionate about enabling my students to express themselves authentically and creatively. Working with me is a holistic process and I intend for our sessions to be tools for your empowerment and self-discovery.

Lessons can be delivered via Zoom or in-person in some London locations.
For music/songwriting/performance/artistic development students, lessons will be a mixture of real-time teaching and homework assignments.
Parameters for between-lesson communication will be established depending upon the nature and longevity of our working relationship.
