My tutoring approach is supportive, structured, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps and building confidence through guided practice, discussion, and real-world examples. I encourage questions and adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences, ensuring each student feels comfortable and supported.
Lessons typically run for 45–60 minutes, allowing enough time to introduce concepts, work through examples, and reinforce understanding without overwhelming the learner.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Māori Development, a Graduate Diploma in Health Science, and a Postgraduate qualification in Health Science. Alongside my academic background, I have experience supporting tertiary students in academic and pastoral contexts, particularly Māori tauira.
My tutoring is suitable for high school and tertiary students, as well as adult learners who need support with study skills, academic writing, health-related subjects, or understanding course content.
