About Helen
Having received a bachelor’s degree in TCFL (Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language) in China, I earned a scholarship to study for a master’s degree in TCFL in the US.
I used to work as a full-time lecturer at the University of Notre Dame and Texas A&M University in the US. I also taught university students at the Durham University and the University of Edinburgh in the UK. I designed and offered online courses for students at the University of Sheffield as well. I also once worked as a content designer for Busuu, an award-winning language learning platform.
After traveling and teaching around, I now act as a lead instructor at a language center. Thanks to Superprof, I can get to know and help learners from various backgrounds and different places achieve success on learning Chinese.

-Having taught thousands of students, I am experienced in establishing a student-centered, communication-based, relaxing and supportive atmosphere in my class.
-After teaching online for over 3 years, I know how to maximum the benefit of online class. Zoom will be used for teaching while google documents will be used for review and tracking the progress. Varied learning websites and apps will be adopted to facilitate your learning also.
