About Mel

After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Languages (English and Spanish), I obtained a Master’s degree in Education specialising in teaching abroad.

I then worked in France, Madagascar, Cambodia, Togo, the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Australia, and Spain. I mainly taught French, English, and Spanish (depending on the country and the learners’ age), but I was also a primary school teacher for one year, delivered adult training, and eventually became Head of Education in a sports academy.

French is my mother tongue, and I have a near-native level in Spanish (with a strong Spain-based accent) and in English (British, with a fairly neutral accent).
I favour a conversational approach for learners who already have a solid level and genuinely wish to refine their speaking skills.

About the lesson

There are three things I am truly passionate about and want to practise every day: languages, witchcraft, and art.

For a long time, my goal was to create schools in order to contribute to the expansion of ethical, inclusive, and accessible education for everyone. However, after teaching on every continent, I realised that what truly brings me joy is not so much designing educational projects or writing lesson plans, but rather talking about natural remedies, astrology, numerology, feminism, ecology, travelling, and so on — and then drawing, writing, and embroidering, in between walks in the forest.

So I started wondering how to combine all of this without losing the trilingualism I am so proud of, while still making good use of my five years of studies. And here I am.

What I’m offering you is therefore a rather atypical format to practise and improve your French, English, or Spanish through informal conversations.
I am a non-binary witch who, after ten years of wandering, dreams of settling in the forest and creating magical works of art. If this resonates with you and the idea of practising a language through mystical and inclusive exchanges intrigues you, welcome.
