About Turner
I began learning French in 5th Grade, and my first time visiting France was during my Senior year of high school. During my visit, I was able to speak exclusively in French, but it was still a challenge! I continued on in my French studies through college, culminating in my Junior year semester abroad in Paris, France, where I spent six months speaking exclusively in French under a language pledge. During this time, I had the opportunity to take thrice weekly classes with a French phonetics teacher, who taught me how to use the phonetic alphabet to discern the nuances between similar-sounding French words. During my Senior year of college, I conducted an independent study through a Fellowship with my college that allowed me to study green spaces of Paris by interviewing Parisians, and truly tested my linguistic skill. Throughout my education, I continued to develop of toolbox of skills that work for various learning types, inclusive of diverse backgrounds and goals.

I am a very flexible teacher! I am able to tutor beginner, intermediate, and advanced French students who are children between 5 and 13, teens between 14 and 18, or adults. I will work with your learning style and previous experience to develop a customized curriculum to meet your goals, using tried and true language learning methods.
But learning is not exclusive to tutoring! Learn how to practice on your own using videos, music, movies, et cetera and develop your spoken and heard French in and out of structured tutoring time to increase your confidence, your grades, or anything else!
