About Michael
I focus on fun! I love teaching the music you want to learn and having a good time doing it. I will keep you motivated to reach your guitar playing goals by making sure you're enjoying what you're doing.
Getting to know my students and watching them grow in music is the best reward for a teacher! I've seen a few students reach professional playing level. Over the years many have expressed their appreciation and share that they continue playing after they ended lessons!
I have been playing since I was eight. Since my teen years I have played in bands, duos, and various ensembles. I earned a BFA- guitar performance in American Fingerstyle Guitar from UW-Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Conservatory of music. I am also a singer and have made my living from performance and teaching over the last two plus decades. All together, forty plus years in music.
