About Zonia

I have been playing the cello since the age of seven, first at Karol Kurpiński Primary Music School No. 4, and later at Józef Elsner Secondary Music School at the Complex of State Music Schools No. 1 in Warsaw (Poland), from which I graduated last year. For me, the world of music does not end with my instrument; I am a finalist in the Music History Olympiad, an enthusiast of Baroque music and chamber music, and in January I will begin studying composition at McGill University in Canada. Sharing what I love with others is a natural part of my life; since 2019 I have been active as a scout, and I have given private lessons in cello as well as ear training.

About the lesson

Throughout my years of musical education, I have become familiar with the Suzuki method, received a classical music school education, and studied within the British A-Level system, which allowed me to take the Music A-Level exam. For the past six years, I have been active in the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association, developing my pedagogical skills.

These diverse experiences has shaped me into a teacher with an unconventional approach to students. As I have been struggling with music theory in the past, I know what techniques helped me gain confidence in my skills and get into McGill University for Composition.

I would like to conduct 60 minute-long classes.
I teach children aged 6-14.
