About Aanya

Hi everyone! I am currently an International Student in NTU pursuing Data Science & Economics. I’ve been tutoring since high school, helping peers and juniors gain confidence and improve their performance in Economics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

At the IGCSE level, I achieved 6 A*s, including A*s in Economics, Additional Mathematics, Extended Mathematics, and Computer Science. In the IB Diploma Programme, I scored 7s in all my Higher Level subjects | Economics HL, Maths AA HL, and Computer Science HL.

I’ve always loved teaching because I enjoy seeing students go from feeling confused or overwhelmed to feeling confident and capable. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping someone finally “get” a concept and realize their own potential. I focus on giving practical, honest advice that I wish I had as a student myself.

I taught IGCSE students from 2023–2025, and all of my students achieved A or A* grades. I also provide custom notes, practice questions, and exam-focused resources to support learning outside of lessons.

For IB students, I understand how crucial both strong conceptual understanding and smart assessment strategy are. I focus on making difficult topics clear and intuitive, while also guiding you through IAs, exam techniques, and answer structure. I’m here to offer a fresh perspective, help you organize your ideas, strengthen your analysis, and approach both coursework and exams with confidence.

About the lesson

I take a super friendly, supportive, and strategy-focused approach to teaching, especially for IB students where exam technique and structure are just as important as content. Since I was an IB student myself very recently, I understand what actually works in exams therefore my goal is to help you understand how to score.

I’m also happy to take ad-hoc sessions if you just need advice or feedback on your IA, EE, or exam strategy.

A typical lesson is 1 hour, but I’m always flexible and can adjust the length depending on your needs and goals.

I have previously taught IGCSE Economics and Extended Mathematics, with all my students achieving A or A* grades.

My lessons are ideal for IGCSE and IB students who want clearer concepts, better structure, and higher confidence in their exams. As well as someone seeking a student mentor !
