About Pedro
I graduated from Unicamp in 2015 and have been teaching at Projeto Guri since 2016. I have played in several orchestras in the countryside of São Paulo, such as the Rio Claro and Limeira Symphonies, as well as the Valinhos Philharmonic. Additionally, I am a member of a heavy-metal band called Burning Symphony, and currently, I am researching country music.
I sincerely believe in the richness inherent in each musical genre; one simply needs to know how to listen. Exploring the nuances of different styles is my primary research interest.
In collaboration with friends, I offer workshops on "mixed arts" (combining music and drawing) and "acoustic ecology." I have a decade of experience teatchingh children and, bsides to that, I have designed musicalization projects tailored for adults and seniors.
Ultimately, I firmly believe that a strong teacher-student bond is essential for a successful class.

- Listening is the most frequent and important part of musical practice.
- Making music engages the whole body.
Those are the basis where I build the classes from. We will listen to and discuss many recordings, the nuances of sound and try a lot of movements (with and without the Cello) to develop the skills you need.
I may use a few different methods (like Dotzauer Schulle) or create specific exercises for what each person wants to work on. As an example, bow control depends on a relaxed, balanced and concious hand posture. For that, fingers exercises, games and playful gestures may be very useful!
From pop to Classical, including rock and many others, each musical genre has its own delights to teach us - and the cello suits everyone!
