About Andrew
I’m a professional singer and vocal coach with extensive experience across both musical theatre and live contemporary performance. Throughout my career I’ve appeared in productions including Wicked, Hairspray, Oliver!, Mrs Henderson Presents, The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Jersey Boys, and Only Fools and Horses, while also performing with bands and live music projects in pop and commercial styles. What makes my perspective unique is that I’ve worn almost every hat within a professional company and live performance setting — leading roles, supporting roles, swing, dance captain, resident director, and band vocalist. I understand performance from every angle: the pressure of carrying a show, the precision required as a swing, the musicianship and stylistic demands of band work, and the leadership needed to support a cast or ensemble. I know what it takes not just to sing well, but to work consistently and professionally across genres. Alongside performing, teaching has always been central to my career, and I bring the same professionalism, preparation and real-world insight from both the rehearsal room and the stage into every lesson.

I specialise in vocal technique and performance, combining strong technical foundations with expressive, confident storytelling through song. My approach focuses on building a reliable, healthy technique while unlocking freedom, range, stamina and individuality in every voice.
Lessons are always tailored to the individual — whether you’re preparing for drama school, auditioning for shows, returning to singing after a break, or simply wanting to feel more confident using your voice. There is no one-size-fits-all teaching; I adapt exercises, repertoire and focus areas to suit your goals and experience level.
I’ve taught at Italia Conti, Performers College and several music colleges, coaching everyone from beginners discovering their voice to professionals preparing for auditions and long contracts. This breadth of experience allows me to support singers at all stages, from first lessons through to industry-level performance.
Most importantly, I believe singing should feel exciting, freeing and joyful — never tense or intimidating. My lessons are focused and detailed, but always supportive, high-energy and stress-free. When you feel safe and inspired, your voice opens up — and that’s the environment I aim to create.
