About Tommy
I am an experienced Piano teacher with over 12 years of teaching experience, dedicated to helping students build confidence and develop a lifelong love for music. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals through lessons that are engaging, structured, and easy to follow.
My teaching style is supportive, flexible, and focused on student success. I carefully adapt my lessons to suit each student's learning style, ensuring steady progress and enjoyable learning.
My lessons include piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm development, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, performance preparation, and finger exercises. I also help students develop discipline and consistency through effective practice habits.
In addition to Piano, I teach keyboard skills and basic music theory. These subjects provide students with a strong musical foundation and improve their confidence in learning new pieces.
I believe that every lesson should inspire students to continue learning. My goal is to help students improve not only their playing skills but also their appreciation and understanding of music.

My teaching philosophy is centered on helping every student enjoy learning while building confidence and technical ability. Using communication, creativity, flexibility, and encouragement, I create lessons that are both educational and enjoyable.
Students begin by learning posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These essential skills provide a strong foundation before progressing to scales, chords, pedal techniques, dynamics, expressive playing, sight reading, and musical interpretation.
Every lesson includes demonstrations, guided practice, and listening activities. I explain concepts using simple English so students clearly understand what they are learning. Regular revision and personalized feedback help students improve continuously.
Students are encouraged to explore different musical genres and develop creativity through improvisation, accompaniment, and expressive performance. This builds confidence while making learning exciting.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals, rhythm training, ear training, music theory, music appreciation, sight reading, performance preparation, and beginner composition. These additional subjects strengthen overall musicianship.
My goal is to help students become independent learners who enjoy playing piano with confidence and expression.
