About John
I am an experienced singing tutor with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, committed to helping every student find and refine their unique voice. With 10 years of teaching experience, I work with learners of all ages and levels. My teaching combines traditional classical methods with contemporary approaches for a well-rounded vocal education. I emphasise posture, breathing, tone, resonance, and vocal agility. Lessons include phrasing, dynamics, lyrical interpretation, and expressive delivery. I design lessons tailored to individual goals, including auditions and performance preparation. Stage presence, confidence-building, and performance techniques are part of each class. Students are encouraged to explore various genres for stylistic versatility. I also teach proper vocal care and safe practices to maintain long-term vocal health. Feedback is constructive, actionable, and personalised to track progress. Classes are engaging, interactive, and motivating. My teaching style nurtures discipline, creativity, and self-expression. Over time, students achieve control, expressive depth, and professional-level performance skills. I aim to empower singers to perform confidently and authentically.

My singing lessons aim to build confident, well-trained vocalists with strong technical grounding. Every class begins with warm-ups and breathing control exercises. I emphasise the importance of vocal health, teaching safe and sustainable techniques. Students learn tone placement, resonance control, and projection. Each lesson includes exercises for range expansion and vocal agility. You’ll also develop musical phrasing and expression through song interpretation. I incorporate ear training to improve pitch sensitivity and accuracy. Lessons are tailored to each student’s preferred style, whether pop, classical, or musical theatre. I provide continuous feedback and progress reviews to track improvement. My approach blends theory and practice, making learning both educational and inspiring. Students are encouraged to perform pieces that showcase their strengths. I also teach relaxation and performance anxiety management techniques. Over time, you’ll gain vocal stability, confidence, and control. My ultimate goal is to help you perform naturally, expressively, and joyfully.
