About Surendra
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, as I come from a family of passionate music lovers. As a third-generation musician, I was introduced to the world of music at a very young age, absorbing its beauty and depth from those around me. Over the years, my learning has transformed into a commitment to teach, and now I pass on the rich legacy of my experiences to my students. I believe that exposure is the key to growth, which is why I focus on creating an immersive, dynamic learning environment that allows students to truly experience the music. Alongside my vocal training, I also play the harmonium and keyboard, further enriching my musical journey and teaching approach. My aim is to inspire students to not only learn music but to live it, feel it, and let it become a part of who they are.

Hello! I’m Surendra MMK, a dedicated music teacher with 20 years of experience in the world of Carnatic Classical Music, and I also specialize in teaching Light Music. In addition to my extensive performance background, I have been tutoring students professionally for over 10 years, helping them master both traditional and contemporary music styles.
I offer online music lessons via WhatsApp (audio or video calls) for students ranging from beginners to advanced levels. My teaching approach is personalized, focusing on building a strong foundation and progressing at a pace that suits each individual.
I currently accept a maximum of 2 students to ensure focused, high-quality instruction. The classes are designed for serious learners who are committed to putting in consistent practice and are ready to dedicate time and effort to their musical journey. I believe in the importance of discipline in music—without it, one may eventually lose the connection to the art form.
