About Matt

My approach is that what you learn isn't for the classroom but for life. Whether that be culture, business, relationships, tools to navigate an uncertain world are paramount for successful development and achievement.

Life can be a video game: we do, make mistakes, learn, do again, know more than we did, collecting artifacts along the way,
creating adventures along the way.

The adventure begins in the classroom but it doesn't end there...

About the lesson

My teaching methods depend on the student: how they learn, methods to why they learn, motivations to push themselves and I adapt.

Visual, tactile, bias-towards-action. I approach the learner as I am also a learner. If we were in a video game, what type of gamers in our quest would we be?

A lesson plan will be built around first-principles of technology and manage expectations through a deterministic curriculum once the why and how is established.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I go where the student is and needs me, not vice versa. From there we prototype learning tools not just for the core curriculum but for life.

These lessons are for anyone of any traditional level, with a prerequisite for a willingness to try, instincts for adaptation, and an intuiting nature for technology and why things work.
