About Jose Rubens
Oi! My name is José. I lived in Brazil most of my life, in the city of Sao Paulo. After a period in London, I'm now living in Turin, Italy. I'm eager to help you learn Portuguese, whether it is for traveling, to speak the language of your loved one, for working or just for fun, no matter what is your level. I also have professional experience in several areas, from hospitality to business consulting, which gave me a lot of flexibility with the language and I will use it to help you improve your vocabulary. Apart from being a language enthusiast, I am really into music, cooking, and travel. I play the guitar (mainly blues, rock, and bossa nova), I love to cook Brazilian-style barbecue and unknown Italian dishes, and the last places I've been to were Southeast Asian countries on a 5 months trip. Let's schedule a trial lesson! Até mais! See you soon!

From day one, my lessons will be tailored to your goals and interests, to make them engaging and fun and to help you achieve fluency quickly. I always include bits of culture in our interactions and draw parallels between your knowledge and the culture around the language you are learning, to make the experience richer and to make you feel closer to the native speakers. That is essential! I also have professional experience in several areas, from hospitality to business consulting, which gave me a lot of flexibility with the language and I will use it to help you improve your vocabulary.

Jose is an awesome teacher. It's very easy to learn with him due his patience and perseverance.
I totally recommend his classes if you wanna a serious but nice teacher.I would like to recommend my BR-PT teacher for those who want to learn easily with a very engaged and flexible teacher. His classes are always focused on my needs and goals. After I learnt the basics, I asked him to help me with business lingo and its "etiquette" (let's say) as I started interacting with Brazilian clients and that helped me a lot. Thanks again, José. From pronunciation to grammar to cultural tips your classes were amazingly helpful to me. I'll carry on with our classes until I reach fluency. Beppe Grotti
José is a patient and dedicated teacher. He puts a lot of effort into preparing each class and always makes the lesson fun and exciting. He is flexible with the content and can adapt to the student's requests, which I find very valuable. I strongly recommend him!
