About Jack
Hi, I'm Jack, an Economics and French joint degree student at Warwick University, currently on track for a First. My love for teaching stems from teaching mathematics to classes of up to 50 students in South Africa, where I saw first hand the impact of a good teacher. I have a genuine interest in economics that goes beyond the syllabus, with a particular focus on defence, foreign policy, and how economic forces shape global affairs.
Outside of my degree, I play football for my university league team, tennis with the university club, and wrestle competitively. I also speak French and Arabic, and spend my spare time producing house music.
I tutor because I enjoy helping students see the logic behind economic theory rather than just memorising it, and I bring the same discipline I apply to competitive sport and language learning into my tutoring: patience, structure, and genuine investment in seeing students improve.

I'm an Economics and French joint degree student at Warwick University, currently on track for a First, with strong grounding in both microeconomics and macroeconomics from first-year modules covering game theory, market structures, and macroeconomic models.
My approach focuses on building genuine understanding of core concepts rather than memorised definitions: I break down theory using real-world examples, work through past-paper questions in detail, and help students structure clear, exam-ready answers for essay and data-response questions. I tailor sessions around GCSE and A-level specifications, with a strong emphasis on applying theory correctly under exam conditions.
Lessons typically run 60 minutes and are adjusted to each student's syllabus and target grade, with time built in for past-paper practice and targeted revision of weaker topics. I tutor students from GCSE through to A-level, including those preparing for mock exams or working to lift a specific grade boundary.
