About Annabella

I am currently studying at UWA to become a Japanese and History secondary school teacher. I am only in my first year, as of now, but am excited to begin teaching ASAP. I love language and how it builds connection across cultures and countries, I want to be able to talk to everyone!

Japanese can be difficult, but I want to teach people how to enjoy studying language, sometimes it is just the way we approach the tasks that make them appear daunting. My spaces will always be judgment-free and paced according to your needs.

About the lesson

I can adapt to teaching students from years 2 until 12, at WACE ATAR level if required, also. Depending on the student's goal with Japanese (better grades, personal interest, future job requirements, etc.), I like to tailor my approach.

I personally believe when learning Japanese speaking is the core of the subject, as it requires listening, reading and writing in the preparation for each conversation. It also helps build confidence and naturalistic pacing and intonation of words.

Immediately after graduating, I spent a few months returning to high school for private conversation practice with years 10-12. I also spent time abroad in a work-exchange, language-exchange situation.

Lessons can be from half an hour to up to 2 hours.
