About Keturah
I am a Foreign Language teacher with 15 years of experience in the public school system of NYC. I have previously taught full Spanish classes and after-school Russian courses. I started as a Spanish teacher but during those years of teaching, I decided to learn Russian to help the Russian-speaking community in NYC. Throughout my years of teaching I have tutored Russian one-on-one and in groups to various ages. I have taught Russian to native Spanish speakers, as well as English speakers. I love Russian culture and although the language is very challenging, it's worth every effort.

My teaching method is based on communication and real language use. I feel that through a combination of phrases, vocabulary, language explanations and real life scenarios you get a well-rounded grasp of a language. My goal is for my student to speak more and more, until we get to the point where the student does most of the talking in the target language. The more you speak and learn a language, the more fluent you become.
