About Ruby
I have a Master’s in Vocal Performance and Music Education and 8 years of teaching experience guiding students from beginner to advanced levels. My philosophy emphasizes technical mastery combined with creative expression, allowing learners to develop a confident and versatile voice. I focus on building lessons that are engaging, adaptable, and tailored to individual goals, strengths, and learning styles.
I integrate breath work, vocal exercises, repertoire study, improvisation, and performance coaching to ensure comprehensive vocal development. I also emphasize mindfulness, mental focus, and emotional connection to help students overcome performance anxiety and cultivate expressive freedom. My lessons aim to make technical practice enjoyable and meaningful while supporting artistic growth.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring different musical styles, performing, and studying contemporary vocal techniques. This experience allows me to provide real-world insight and inspiration to my students. Watching learners progress from hesitant beginners to confident, expressive singers is deeply rewarding and motivates my ongoing dedication to teaching vocal performance.
