About Viyshali

- What kind of experience do you have?

Education - Teaching:
I am currently working as a Year 4 class teacher at a school that is rated one of the highest achieving in London. Lessons I plan in all subjects are guided by the National Curriculum. I design them to be creative and ensure that they are delivered in an effective way.

Teaching allows me to work with children to focus on their areas of development and on their targets. I implement different strategies and teaching styles that will motivate children and develop their attainment.

I previously ran a year group, alongside a Phase Leader. My responsibilities were to ensure that students attained a high level. This included creating interventions for children that required extra support and challenging the more able students.

With 4 years' experience as a school teacher, my responsibilities include:
• Creating and delivering lessons to outstanding standards
• Motivating and engaging pupils
• Assessing pupils' abilities according to the National Curriculum
• Devising targets based on assessments of pupils' strengths and weaknesses
• Planning lessons with differentiated learning outcomes to meet all pupils' needs.
• Achieving inclusion of all learning abilities and providing resources for SEN, EAL an GAT groups.

Tutoring:
Since starting teaching, I have tutored students in Numeracy and Literacy. My students range from EYFS (age 4) to KS3 (year 9).
Previous students who have progressed in their learning have had improved school reports. Their parents, who have been pleased with their child's learning achievements have made recommendations. These may be made available upon request.

Volunteer Work:
I run a children's after school club called Brain Teasers. Here, children participate in various exercises and games that challenge them and develop their thought processes and reasoning skills.

I run lunch time and afterschool homework clubs for children who require additional support in their learning.
