I have received A grades in A Level Media as well as high grades in English Language and Film Studies, receiving a B. I am currently studying this at university level in the form of Visual Communications. I have worked on several projects in film and media, supplying me with practical knowledge on the subject.

I believe the key to media is creative interpretation therefore I allow each student to express their own opinions on a media text before we analyse the physical features. Creativity is a huge factor in the creation of media and I aim to provide you with tools to help you construct a product of your own aesthetic. My main method of teaching includes analysing similar products to those that the student wishes to create in order to find prominent features and work on terminology and essay writing when analysing the case study products. Essays are a fundamental part of Media Studies so I aim to provide each student with any essays tips and extra knowledge that they may need to successfully complete an essay to a high standard. Each lesson will start with short briefing as to what we are going to cover based on what we have discussed, and then short tasks tailored towards the tutee's needs and then a summary of what we would like to cover next time as well as progress made.
