About Olivia
I am a flute tutor who believes that learning music should be exciting and rewarding. With 15+ years of teaching experience, I have worked with school and college students from different backgrounds and skill levels. My teaching style combines simple explanations with practical exercises to make every lesson effective.
Students learn breathing control, posture, finger movement, rhythm, scales, articulation, and expressive performance in a step-by-step manner. I enjoy celebrating every achievement because each success motivates students to keep learning.
Besides flute, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm practice, improvisation basics, and performance preparation. My goal is to help students become confident musicians who truly enjoy making music.

My teaching philosophy is to help students enjoy learning while developing discipline and confidence. My flute teaching approach combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to make every lesson engaging and rewarding.
Students begin with posture, breathing techniques, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and tone production. As they improve, lessons include scales, articulation, dynamics, musical interpretation, improvisation, and stage performance.
Motivation encourages students to continue practising even when challenges arise. Communication helps students understand every lesson through clear explanations and demonstrations. Integrity creates a respectful classroom where every learner receives equal encouragement.
Creative methods include folk songs, movie music, rhythm challenges, duet playing, listening practice, improvisation, and musical games. Along with flute, I teach recorder, beginner keyboard, music theory, ear training, sight reading, and music appreciation.
