About Julia

Hi! My name is Julia and I am a first year violin scholar student at Royal College of Music. I started playing the violin when I was 7 and I am a this year graduate with honours of a Polish 12-year music school with the specialisation in violin, therefore I got a Polish Professional Title-Musician. Throughout the years I took part and won prizes in many piano competitions in Poland and abroad. I am fascinated in Suzuki teaching method and I have been tutoring violin since 3.5 years. I would love to give some violin and interpretation lessons and share my passion with you!! Julia is currently student of Royal College of Music with full-scholarship. She started playing violin at the age of 7 at the General Primary Music School of I.J. Paderewski in Krakow, Poland in the class of professor -Kostka. Currently graduated the Secondary State Music School of W. Żeleński where she was educated under the guidance of professor Joanna Wojtas. At the same time, she is a graduate with distinction from the 5th High School August Witkowski in Krakow on the mathematical and historical profile. Since 2016 she provides private tutoring and inspires violin beginners with Suzuki method. She is a laureate of several dozen violin competitions (including the 4th place at the Groblicz Family National Violin Competition in Krakow, the 2nd place at the 3rd Jadwiga Kaliszewska International Violin Competition in Poznan the 2nd at the National Violin Competition in Cieszyn, 2nd place at the National Competition ";Violin Talents"; in Poznan Participant of many master workshops: B. Bryła, K. A. Kulka, K. Danczowska, W. Kwaśny, M. Vengerov, L. Ibragimova. A extraordinary soloist, chamber musician (including the CEA Grand Prix awards), also involved in many international orchestral projects (Film Music Festival in Krakow, Festival Internacional de Música de Cine de Tenerife, Israel Tour, Krzysztof Penderecki Talent Orchestra). Julia is also a graduate of the three-year Pre-College program at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. In addition to her mainstream - classical music, she successfully co-creates the music group LOR, with which she performs internationally, taking part in numerous music festivals such as: Open`er, OFF, Orange Warsaw, Alínæ lumr, Norden arts Festivals. In April 2018, Julia and the band made their debut releasing the album ";Lowlight"; together with Agora and Sony ATV. Julia Błachuta is a student of the last year at Wladyslaw Zelenski Secondary Music School in Krakow and the graduate of the Pre-College Programme of Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. I have had a pleasure to be her violin teacher for two years but I have followed her development and music career since being enrolled due to her outstanding instrumental abilities.
She is known among Polish music professors as an exceptional musical personality with extraordinary music tenderness and I had a chance to witness said talent in my class. She had been awarded with numerous prizes at national and international violin competitions; as a result she was given various scholarships, such as Pro Musica Foundation, Sapere Auso, National Music Foundation for Exceptionally Talented Children. She has also taken part in a great number of violin masterclasses. Due to her outgoingness and great social skills she is often invited for many international projects and concerts all around the world (China, France, Austria, Tenerife, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Denmark).
Apart from her amazing development in classical violin discipline she makes her successful career in popular music with her indie-folk band called “Lor”. The formation gained a lot of positive reviews, signed contracts with best recording and publishing agencies (Sony ATV), released an album and played over 200 concerts in Europe included biggest festivals in Poland and abroad.  Thanks to this experience, Julia had the chance to travel the world with her friends, acquire cultural knowledge, met a lot of interesting individuals and gain the insight to the popular music industry.
I would also like to mention that she possesses great analytical skills which are being trained in mathematics class at the best high school in Poland- V Witkowski Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace.
Julia is a responsible young woman who combine many duties simultaneously. She is a charmul artistic individuality.
I consider Julia possess all qualities necessary not only to continue education but also to make advantages for it.
Taking her personal determination to achieve her thought-through goals into account, as her teacher, I totally recommend her candidacy for further learning at the conservatoire.
