About Andy
I hold an MMus Music Performance from Queensland Conservatorium. This formal training supports my work with 499 students over the last 6 years.
I guide players through rhythm and timing alongside left-hand agility. Lessons often include scales and arpeggios plus grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity.
We work on tuning by ear and shifting positions so you feel confident. Sight reading and vibrato are also mainstays of our work. I am the mentor who keeps you on the path toward your performance goals.

The first session starts with the sharp scent of rosin and the resonant hum of a tuned instrument. We refine your bowing technique before checking your intonation. I provide a monthly progress report shared with parents to keep everyone aligned. My 6 years of experience inform how I address common technical errors.
You will see how vibrato practice becomes more intuitive over time. We finish the session once your phrasing sounds natural.
