About Daphne
My interest in violin began when I first heard a live string performance during my early music education. I was inspired by the expressive sound and emotional depth of the instrument. This experience encouraged me to pursue formal musical training and complete a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance.
During the past 7 years, I have worked with students at different stages of their violin learning journey. Some learners begin with no musical background, while others want to strengthen their technique and musical expression. My teaching style focuses on patient guidance and helping students develop skills step by step.
Outside teaching, I enjoy practicing violin and exploring different classical compositions. I also study performance techniques used by professional violinists to better understand musical interpretation. Teaching violin allows me to share my passion for music while helping students discover their own musical potential.

My violin lessons focus on helping students build strong technical foundations while enjoying the process of learning music. Beginners start by learning how to hold the violin comfortably and maintain balanced posture while playing. I guide students through simple bowing exercises that help produce a clear and steady sound. Early lessons also include rhythm practice and easy melodies that help learners become familiar with the instrument and develop confidence.
As students gain more experience, lessons begin to include scale practice, finger placement exercises, and short musical pieces. I explain how bow speed, pressure, and direction affect tone quality and expression. Students practice coordinating their left-hand finger movement with controlled bowing techniques. These activities help learners improve pitch accuracy and develop a smoother musical sound.
Learning violin requires patience and careful listening. I encourage students to practice slowly and focus on producing a balanced tone. Over time, learners build stronger bow control and more accurate finger placement. My goal is to help students enjoy playing the violin while steadily improving their musical ability and confidence.
