I have always loved playing violin, and have been blessed that I’ve been able to travel around Australia and Europe to do so. From solo to orchestra, it’s been an amazing journey! I want to share my experience, and my love of music with you! As a passionate and experienced violinist, my desire as an educator is to share my love for music with students, and to create a fun and encouraging environment so they can learn at their best.
In 2015 I completed my Bachelor with Honours in Classical Performance (violin) at WAAPA and the Conservatorium of Music in Tasmania, following on with a graduate diploma in Secondary Education in 2017. My love for music education saw me completing the level 1 training in Kodaly primary education in 2018 with distinction. Currently I teach at 3 different schools with students ranging from beginner primary to ATAR, and I also conduct 3 beginner string ensembles. With 10 years experience teaching individual lessons, I happily teach young children (4 years and above) through to adults (my oldest student is 85!)
My role as a teacher is to actively engage students, create an environment where they feel safe and confident to learn, and to build positive relationships so students can achieve their best.
Lessons are $35 for 30mins, $50 for 45mins, and $70 for an hour. Lessons are offered in Balcatta, Western Australia or via Skype.
Have a friend you want to learn with? Group lessons are available starting at $18 per lesson, per student - max of 4 students in one class. *Please note, participants in shared lessons are not organised by the teacher, so grab a friend or two to join!
