About Wendi
The sound of rosin against tightened horsehair first drew me into the world of string performance. Years of dedicated practice eventually led me to earn my Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the Curtis Institute of Music. I have spent 13 years teaching 294 students how to interpret classical repertoire with precision and soul. My approach uses scales, arpeggios, and double stops to build strong orchestral skills.
I guide students through intricate bowing techniques like spiccato and staccato while refining their intonation and shifting positions. Helping someone finally tune by ear or master a difficult shift creates such a rewarding sense of joy for both of us.

Fluid movement across the fingerboard is a tangible result of our sessions. My background from the Curtis Institute of Music informs every technical adjustment I suggest for your posture or bowing. I provide free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to keep your practice focused. We work on everything from scales and arpeggios to complex double stops.
Shifting positions or mastering a tricky spiccato passage can feel manageable with the right guidance. I prioritize tuning by ear so you gain independence .My teaching is simple and focused on your comfort.
