About Malena
If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about helping students grow musically and personally, I’d be delighted to work with you!
I’m a passionate violinist and dedicated teacher originally from the beautiful Mediterranean city of Valencia, Spain. In 2020, I moved to London to continue my musical education at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where I’ve grown both as a performer and as an educator. I hold a First Class Honours Bachelor degree from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, currently undertaking my Master’s degree there. Alongside my performance work, I’m an experienced violin teacher with over 4 years of teaching in schools in London, mostly based in the Old Street area. I am currently a tutor with the Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MiSST) and their Saturday Academy, where I work with students of a wide range of ages and backgrounds. I have a strong orchestral background, having performed with various ensembles in both Spain and the UK, and I’m also deeply involved in chamber music, with experience playing in string quartets and piano trios. This has given me a well-rounded understanding of collaborative musicianship, which I love to bring into my teaching. I’m also interested in contemporary classical music, and I enjoy exploring new sound worlds and creative approaches to performance. Alongside this, I’m passionate about the physical and mental wellbeing of musicians. Helping students develop healthy playing habits and a positive mindset is something I care deeply about. Teaching is one of the most fulfilling parts of my musical journey. I aim to create a warm, encouraging environment where students of all ages can grow in confidence, discover their own musical voice, and genuinely enjoy the process of learning the violin. I look forward to helping you or your child explore music with curiosity, expression, and joy!

Hello! I’m thrilled to offer violin lessons that not only help students improve their playing but also deepen their enjoyment of music and build lasting confidence in their abilities. Whether you are just starting out or looking to advance your technique, I provide supportive, 1-to-1 guidance tailored to your needs and goals. My lessons are engaging, structured, and designed to nurture both skill and self-expression. Please note: Due to the nature of my schedule, lessons will need to be arranged on a weekly basis to accommodate availability. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding!
Lessons include:
-Beginners to advanced levels (ages 6+ and adults welcome)
-ABRSM/Trinity Grade preparation -Audition coaching (youth orchestras, specialist schools, etc.)
-Music theory and aural training included where needed
-Flexible in-person or online options I am able to travel a reasonable distance (Price may vary depending on travel costs) or we can meet online via Zoom.
I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and I am registered with the Update Service, offering you peace of mind that your child is in a safe and professional learning environment.
