About Ciara
I have over 5 years of teaching experience at two primary schools, two instrumental schools, as well as private students in Western Australia, where I have just relocated from.
I hold a first-class Bachelor of Music Honours degree in violin performance from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts in violin performance from the University of Western Australia. I have moved to England to take up a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music to study a Master of Music in September. I am living with family in Guildford and happy to travel around the area or provide online lessons.
In Western Australia I worked as a freelance musician, performing with Australian Baroque, Perth Symphony Orchestra, Cygnus Arioso, En'Coda Symphony Orchestra, and many more. I draw on this experience to make lessons more enjoyable and to build skills which are crucial in a professional environment.

I am very passionate about music and performing, which I love to share with my students. I have experience preparing students for exams at various levels, as well as teaching adults who learn for fun, and have many resources to pull on for those who would prefer not to go the exam route.
I also teach traditional Irish folk music for kids and adults, having performed on fiddle and banjo in numerous trad bands in Australia.
