About Selena
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Master of Music in Instrumental Pedagogy, and I have 7 years of experience teaching violin to students of different levels. My journey with the violin began with a strong interest in music and expression, which later developed into a passion for teaching. Over the years, I have helped many students build their skills and confidence through structured and supportive lessons.
My teaching style focuses on patience, clarity, and steady progress. I believe that every student learns at a different pace, so I adjust my teaching methods to match their needs. I use simple explanations, guided practice, and regular feedback to help students improve step by step. I also encourage students to enjoy the learning process and stay motivated.
Outside of teaching, I continue practicing violin, learning new techniques, and exploring different music styles. This helps me bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Teaching violin is very meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students grow in confidence and express themselves through music.

Violin lessons become more enjoyable when students understand both technique and musical expression in a clear and simple way. My lessons focus on posture, bow control, finger placement, tone quality, and rhythm. I guide students step by step so they can build strong fundamentals and feel comfortable with the instrument. Each lesson includes exercises, scale practice, and song learning that help students improve gradually. I create a calm and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to practice and grow confidently.
Beginners start with holding the violin correctly, basic bowing, and simple melodies that build comfort and confidence. Intermediate students work on improving tone, learning scales, and playing more structured pieces. Advanced learners focus on expression, dynamics, and performance preparation. I adjust lessons based on each student’s level and provide regular feedback to support steady improvement.
Learning violin helps students develop patience, focus, and creativity. As students improve, they enjoy expressing emotions through music and gain confidence in their abilities. My goal is to make violin learning simple, enjoyable, and meaningful so students stay motivated and continue improving.
