About Matilda
Beginners frequently arrive with curiosity about how to hold the bow and produce a clear sound. After 12 years of stage and studio work, I guide students through ear training and intonation. Stiff posture is actually the enemy of fluid playing on the violin. I encourage a relaxed approach that emphasises bowing technique and double stops while maintaining orchestral playing standards. My BMus degree ensures that you receive high level instruction during every minute we spend together.
You will receive custom scale and étude sheets for each student to practise effectively. I keep things practical so you enjoy the process of making music.
