About JET
I teach film and media at undergraduate and postgraduate level and have held positions at universities in the UK and Canada. I also work in industry as a filmmaker and consultant with international clients, and have worked with learners from secondary school through to professionals across a range of industries.
My interest in moving images spans how films are made, structured and experienced across contexts, and I bring that breadth into my teaching. While I aim to support and challenge those I work with, I am continually informed by their perspectives and practices.
My work brings together theory, practice and workflow, and that combined perspective informs my teaching.

I take an inclusive, intention-led approach, starting with what you want to say and shaping decisions across development, production, editing and distribution. Sessions (typically 60–90 minutes) are tailored to your projects and your goals.
This is not about following tutorials or presets, but about learning to make clear, deliberate decisions in your own work and developing a filmmaking practice that is meaningful to you.
Suitable for students, emerging professionals and established practitioners who want to explore new ways of working.
