About Linda
I am a dedicated flute tutor with 5 years of teaching experience, guiding High School, College, and adult students in discovering the joy of music. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of teaching around 150-200 students, helping them develop not only technical skills but also a deep love for the flute. My teaching philosophy centres on patience, encouragement, and creating a positive learning environment where every student feels confident to express themselves.
One of the proudest moments of my career was organising a student recital that allowed my students to showcase their progress and musical growth. I believe in tailoring lessons to each student’s unique style and goals, whether they are beginners exploring music for the first time or advanced players preparing for performances. Beyond technique, I focus on inspiring creativity, building discipline, and nurturing a lifelong appreciation for music. Teaching flute is not just my profession—it is my passion, and I am committed to helping each student reach their fullest potential.

I follow a student-centred methodology to teach flute, making learning engaging and practical. Problem-solving is a key part of my teaching. I help students identify challenges in their playing and work together to find solutions, which improves technique and performance. I uphold integrity in my lessons, emphasising discipline, honesty, and commitment to learning. My approach is also flexible, allowing me to adapt teaching methods to each student’s unique learning pace and goals.
While my main focus is flute, I can also teach related music concepts, theory, and fundamentals to provide a well-rounded understanding. By blending practical skills with critical thinking and creativity, my teaching helps students achieve musical excellence and enjoy their journey of learning.
